NATURE PROTECTION Friends of the bees

Why are we friends of bees?

Nothing could exist without bees. There will be no fruits, seeds, plants. The number of bees in the world is rapidly declining, but we can protect them by creating small and fragrant oases for them. These little buzzing creatures will be very grateful to us.

NATURE PROTECTION Live Martenitsa Campaign

During this activity the children learned how important plants are for our nature, how to plant seeds and take care of them.

This activity was carried out in two stages.

The first stage included the preparation for the Bulgarian national holiday Baba Marta, for which it is necessary to make martenitsas. These martenitsas are a gift for health. When spring comes, they are removed and hung on a tree. The children made martenitsas from the biodegradable tape and decorated them with white and red threads.

The second stage of the activity continued with the planting of the biodegradable tape. The children took their martenitsas, removed their decoration and with the help of shovels and rakes, each child planted his tape in the ground in the yard of the kindergarten.

NATURE PROTECTION The water drop way

The water drop way - experiments with water

The children from Detelina Kindergarten learned how important water is for our planet Earth to be healthy. They performed various scientific experiments with water.

In the first experiment, the teacher first explains to the children that some things are light and float on the water surface, and some are heavy and sink. To convince themselves of this, the children begin to drop various objects into the glasses of water to check which will sink and which will emerge.

In the second experiment, the children observed how the water literally wanted to come out of the glass of water. The teacher colors the water in the glasses with different colors, puts paper napkins between each glass and the children see how the colored water "climbs" up the napkin and wants to go to the other glass.

In the third experiment, the children learn exactly how flowers "drink" water. The teacher colors the water in the glasses and puts white flowers in them. The flowers are colored in the same color as the color of the water in which they are immersed.

BULGARIA MEETING

"Detelina" Kindergarten hosted and conducted a three-day virtual seminar on the "See Our Nature" Project, financed by the Erasmus + Program.

During these three exciting days, we presented our country to the other partners in the project - Estonia, Latvia, Cyprus and Croatia.

They got to know our beautiful nature, our national treasures, the traditions and customs of our people. We knitted martenitsi together, played Rachenitsa - national folk dance. We proudly showed them how homemade yogurt is made, and with the help of the children we recreated the entire process - from milking to the final product!

We took our guests on a virtual walk around our beautiful city, saw the sea through the eyes of birds.

We introduced them to the children of "Detelina" Kindergarten and showed them how devotedly they are involved in every activity we prepare for them.

Thus, three days passed imperceptibly, during which our partners, albeit from a distance, witnessed our comprehensive work with the children on the "Nature Protection" activity.

NATURE PROTECTION - A Short Sea Feary Tale

Presentation of a Book and presentation of the "See Our Nature" Project

As part of the Nature protection activity, Tanya Voinova, who is actively working on the project, published a children's book "A Short Sea Feary Tale".

"This story was born to teach children responsibility and care - to protect what they really love and enjoy - nature!" - Tanya Voinova said at the presentation of her book.

Together with the presentation of Tanya's book, we also presented the project See our nature to representatives of the Municipality of Pomorie, our colleagues and teachers from other kindergartens in the city.

NATURE PROTECTION - The milk way

 Bulgarian tradition of making yogurt

The children were guests in Grandma Tanya's country house, who showed them many interesting things - how to milk a cow, how to make yogurt from fresh milk, how to make a Bulgarian cold soup - tarator, with yogurt. In the end, everyone ate what they themselves had prepared.
