THEME : THE DOCTOR'S IN THE HOUSE

  AGE : 6-7 years old children

Due to the new epidemiological restrictions, teaching in a classical way is becoming difficult. But modern problem require modern solutions. Visits to our kindergarten are forbidden but with the new technologies we can find a solution for this particular problem.
Some children are afraid of the doctors, some of them want to become doctors when they grow up. With the help of a video call they can meet the doctor and without fear ask him about anything they want to know.

After that, we made our own doctor's office and started with the general medical examination.

Every child took its number and they waited their turn to be examined by the doctors and nurses.

They checked their height and weight, eyes, heart and breathing rate.

We had so much fun doing this activity and now children are not so much afraid of visiting the doctors. 

We then made a child size poster that represents the human body with all its parts. 

The children had a huge interest for the skeleton structure so we offered them some activities where they could learn all about the bones in the human body. 

After these activities where the children had the opportunity to learn about the human body, we talked with them about what makes a person healthy. Most of them started saying how everyone needs to eat healthy food in order to be healthy. We gave them flyers and magazines with food photos and then they made two pyramids, one which shows healthy eating habits and one that shows the opposite.
