THEME : "This is me!"

AGE : 3 - 7 years old children

We started with this theme because when we asked the children what they want to learn about health and well-being, they answered how they want to know more about themselves and what makes the body do certain things and why some of us can do some things better than the others.

We used encyclopedias and educational videos to begin with, then made games where children could experience the learning process through play. 

Children learned that each one of us have some similarities and some differences in physical appearance which make them unique.

The next step was learning the different emotions that humans express and how to manage them in problem situations. To help the children learn these new concepts, we read a storybook, The Colour Monster, which later turned into a fun game of sorting emotions into jars on a daily basis.

Children are interested in this particular subject and following their interests we are planning to do more activities involving feelings, how to cope with them and how to have healthier and better relationships with each other.
