HEALTH AND WELL-BEING - WINDOW SILL GARDENING

Theme: Inside made of layers and golden on the outside?

Children age: 4-5 years

When you can feel a little winter outside, the days are shorter and daylight is not enough for the plants, then it is wonderful to make window sill gardening!

Our Sinilille group put some seeds to the pots. The children were able to seed the seeds, to monitor their growth, explore the plants and of course taste them all! They also studied books about plants, pictures and watched videos of seeding. Just to get to know more about them.

They put Japanese mustard greens (Mizuna) and Chinese cabbage (Paksoi). They are growing in their own pace. They are both very good for salad, for stewing, for woking, into the soups and into the omelette. Best to use young leaves. Paksoi contains a lot vitamin C.

And if you want to be healthy in physical and mental ways, then there should be in your menu green onion!

The Sinilill group children strength and health also comes from the planted and spouted seeds. The sprouts contain the most amount vitamin C after 72 hours after seeding. We tried sunflower sprouts! Yammy!

Good appetite, appetite is good!
