Our Forest - The forest is my world of discoveries!

Theme: The forest is my world of discoveries

Children age: 6-7 years

Objectives: Crossing the wreck. Research in the forest, comparison, finding features. Development of reading skills, creative storytelling. Accuracy throwing and mesh size development. Crafting with cones (3 teams). Games in the woods, sports

Activity: Crossing the wreck. Let's imagine that there is a lot of water in the ditch and today the ditch has to be crossed over a thin log that is over the ditch. The child must know how to place the foot on the log as it moves forward and how to keep its hands balanced.

After the ditch is crossed we start looking for an anthill. Let's see if the ants have woken up from hibernation and watch them move and work in the nest. We know that ants are very hard-working insects. Since in the last few weeks we observed and studied blue flowers and found out that ants love fat balls from seeds of blue flowers, we start looking for blue flowers around the anthill. Because ants carry fat balls in their nest and any of the balls may fall down. It is concluded that blue flowers can grow around the ant's nest.

Walking further through the forest, we look for fallen trees or dead sick trees, which could be called an insect hotel. We examine the paths of insects on a tree with magnifiers to see if we find an insect bark beetle (previously examined from a computer); who is the biggest pest to many trees.

Walking along the forest path, we find a large fir tree known to us as elf tree. Let's remind us why the elves chose this tree and what they will discuss in the Christmas month when everyone gets together in the evening.

Near the elf tree we find a tree where it is good to learn to climb and keep your balance. When each child climbs, a small paper with a plant or tree written on it will be given to them (development of reading skills) and that we need to look for in our surroundings.

In the forest, it is good to listen to different voices in silence. While lying on the ground, we listen with our eyes closed to what sounds we hear. How far away are the different sounds of nature? What sounds do you hear? Since the time is such that the birds are making their nests, there must be a silence in the forest so as not to interfere with the weaving of the birds' nest.

After the sounds are heard, we play the movement game "Go to the forest" and "Tree hiding", make sports, throw precision with cones and make wild animals with three teams of fir tree cones.
